ZANE Keleher insisted he was relishing the chance to represent Pirates in 2021 – and had even visualised his first heat win.
The Australian was meant to make his British debut in the skull and crossbones in 2020, before the entire league season was wiped out due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But Keleher, who is currently back competing in Australia, is looking forward to returning to Dorset next season.
Speaking to fans on the Pirates’ Twitter page, the Rockhampton-born star said: “I’ve been working really hard off the bike keeping up my training and making sure my fitness and everything is ready to go for 2021.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back to Poole and racing for the Pirates next year. I really can’t wait to meet all the fans, looking forward to getting back on track and racing with my team-mates.
“I can’t wait to get my first heat win and celebrate with a big wheelie and fist pump over the finish line.
“That’s going to be a really special moment after all the hard work of the past couple of years and the heartbreak from 2020.”
