MANAGER Jason Tindall said Jack Stacey’s knee injury would be further assessed after the defender missed Tuesday night’s 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Full-back Stacey received treatment on the problem during the first half of Saturday’s 4-2 victory over Reading at Vitality Stadium.
He did go on to complete 90 minutes against the Royals before feeling more discomfort a day later.
Giving an update on the former Luton star, Tindall told the Daily Echo: “He twisted his knee at the weekend against Reading in the first half and it flared up a little bit on the Sunday.
“He has been assessed the past couple of days. That’s just one that we will assess over the next few days and then see what happens.”
Tindall was however pleased to bring back Adam Smith to the starting Xi for the contest, having missed out against Reading.
“You lose Jack Stacey and you bring in Adam Smith,” he added.
“It’s great for myself, great for the team and to have that quality to be able to bring in and Smithy delivered a really solid performance.”
