CHERRIES duo Adam Smith and Philip Billing could return to contention to face Nottingham Forest tomorrow.
The pair missed Saturday's 4-2 win over Reading as a precaution, having been close to Joshua King a day before the striker tested positive for COVID-19.
King remains in isolation, as per government guidelines, but both Smith and Billing could return tomorrow evening.
Asked for an update on the duo, boss Jason Tindall said: "They were assessed today. Obviously it was precautionary why they were left out at the weekend. We felt that was the best decision at the time. But they’re being assessed again today and hopefully they should be back involved tomorrow.
"In between Josh’s negative test and positive test, they were in and around him. I just felt that it was best for the good of everybody that we just took that precaution and not involved them in the game at the weekend so they weren’t around everybody, just in case.
"That was the only reason really why they weren’t involved."
Cameron Carter-Vickers remains unavailable due to an ankle injury.
