CHERRIES boss Jason Tindall hailed the recent performances of David Brooks and stated: "We're starting to see the David Brooks that we love."

The Welshman has been in scintillating form for club and country this month.

After a slow start to the campaign due to illness and injury, Brooks completed his first 90 minutes in the league for more than 18 months with his match-winning display at Birmingham City before the international break.

The attacking midfielder scored twice in the 3-1 win and followed that up with the only goal as Wales defeated Republic of Ireland in the Nations League the following weekend.

Brooks was back in action for Cherries on Saturday, providing two assists and being named man-of-the-match in the 4-2 comeback victory over Reading.

Asked if Brooks is enjoying his football again after his previous fitness struggles, Tindall told the Daily Echo: "He is and I think that’s reflecting in his performances.

"I think we’re starting to see the David Brooks that we love and we saw some time ago.

"I’ve been absolutely delighted with the two performances that he’s delivered in the last two games.

"Birmingham away I felt he was excellent. He got his two goals and made a huge contribution and again on Saturday his contribution to the team was excellent."
