HONEST boss Jason Tindall admitted Cherries were guilty of “bad decisions” in the first half against Derby and added: “I’m never happy when we don’t win games.”

The Dorset club kept up their unbeaten Championship record with a 1-1 draw against the Rams at Vitality Stadium.

Rodrigo Riquelme’s 81st minute leveller, his inaugural goal for Cherries, cancelled out Graeme Shinnie’s first-half strike.

But Tindall wanted more from his side in the opening period and was disappointed they did not pick up maximum points against the struggling Rams.

He said: “I felt we made some bad decisions. I don’t think we were calm enough on the ball.

“You could see Derby came here to get everybody behind the ball, defend and not really look to win the game – maybe just try to protect and hit us on the counter-attack.

“I felt they did that at times in the first half but I felt that was due to our poor play.

“Whether the quick turnaround in games, our minds weren’t as sharp as they should have been or what was expected – we certainly deserved to be 1-0 down at the time Derby scored.

“We came in at half-time very disappointed with the way we played.

“We needed to get better second half and I felt for 45 minutes Derby were camped and defending in their defensive third.

“We created some very good opportunities and thankfully we did get something from the game at the end.”

The draw meant Cherries slipped to third in the league table – five points adrift of leaders Reading.

“I’m never happy when we don’t win games,” said Tindall.

“We set ourselves up to attack and set ourselves up to win every game we play.

“It’s great that nine games in we are still unbeaten because that’s a difficult feat for any team to achieve but, from our own expectations, we are disappointed that we didn’t pick up three points.”
