BOSS Jason Tindall said Jordon Ibe’s “incredible talent” deserves to see him do well at Derby - as the forward looks to re-ignite his career.

Ibe's four-year stay at Cherries came to an end in the summer, when he was released on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract.

And he has now joined Cherries' Championship rivals on a two-year deal.

Winger Ibe arrived at Cherries for around £15million from Liverpool in 2016 and featured 92 times for the club, scoring five goals.

However, his final year at Vitality Stadium was one to forget with just four first-team appearances, the most recent of which came in September 2019.

Before his move to Derby was announced, Ibe took to Instagram to say: "I lost my passion for the game I love due to mistakes that were made and also suffering from depression.

"My family have been strong for me and I thank each and every one of my family.

“But most importantly my motivation for climbing out of the darkness and into the light has been my daughter, who I love dearly and care so much about."

Ibe is not likely to be involved for the Rams against Cherries at Vitality Stadium tomorrow (3pm) as he continues to build up match fitness.

But Tindall insisted he would be pleased to see the former Cherries man make an impact at his new club.

He told the Daily Echo: “There’s no question Jordon Ibe has got incredible talent.

“I am so pleased he is at a good club like Derby and playing the game that he’s always wanted to do and the game he loves.

“Nothing would please me more than to see Jordon Ibe get back playing and doing well, because that’s what his talent deserves.

“He is an incredibly talented player. From my experiences working with him and, as a person, he’s a great lad that wants to do well and wants to achieve good things.

“Hopefully now, I hope he can do that.”
