JASON Tindall hailed the "great effort from everyone" at unbeaten Cherries so far this season, after they climbed up to second place in the Championship table.
Victory over Bristol City saw Tindall's charges move to a record of four wins and four draws from their eight league matches so far.
Only high-flying Reading can eclipse Cherries so far this term, having dropped just two points.
Asked if he is happy with how things stand so far, Tindall told the Daily Echo: "I think we have to be. Eight games in and we’re still undefeated. To go eight games undefeated at the start of the season in any league I think is a really good achievement.
"The players have got to take a lot of credit for that, for the hard work that they’ve put into every game they’ve played, every training session that they’ve done and that’s where we want to be.
"We want to be towards the top of the league and we knew what we had to do. We knew we had to get off to a good start to the season and we knew we had to win on Wednesday.
"Thankfully we’ve done that and we’re now second in the league."
He added: "It’s been a great effort from everyone, all the staff at the football club and the whole squad.
"Everybody needs to play their part to achieve good results and to achieve success and I can’t fault anybody, players or staff, with what they’ve delivered and what they’ve given me since I’ve been manager of the football club."
