JASON Tindall hailed departing duo Charlie Daniels and Marc Pugh as "unbelievable servants" to Cherries, after they penned short-term deals at Shrewsbury Town.

The pair, who helped Cherries to promotion all the way up from League One into the Premier League, have been training with the club in recent weeks.

Daniels, 34, featured in the Premier League for Cherries last season before suffering a serious knee injury, with his contract expiring over the summer. Meanwhile Pugh, 33, left Cherries to join QPR last year, but was also a free agent having left the R's in June.

Both have now departed from training with Cherries to join the League One Shrews on contracts until January, and featured during Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at Fleetwood Town.

"Without a doubt two unbelievable servants to this football club," said Cherries boss Tindall.

"I think what both those guys have achieved for this club has been incredible. They’ve both had a fantastic journey from where they’ve come and what they achieved was something that I’m sure both of them never expected to.

"I’m delighted that they’ve now gone and are going to be playing again. They’ve gone some time now without playing football so to get the opportunity to go and play some games at Shrewsbury is going to be beneficial to both of them.

"They’re certainly welcome back here at any time because they’re two outstanding professionals, two great characters to have around on the training field and around the building.

"In some way it’s sad that they’re no longer with us because they’re a great influence on everybody here.

"They certainly go with mine, my staff and all the players here, all our best wishes and we wish them very well."
