JASON Tindall admitted it was a "relief" to learn than Jefferson Lerma could return within two weeks having injured his hamstring against Watford.

The midfielder was substituted in the 18th minute at Vicarage Road on Saturday with the complaint.

And while he is set to miss both tomorrow's clash with Bristol City and Saturday's visit of Derby County due to the problem, Tindall says the injury is better than first feared.

"We’re pleased with the results," said Tindall when asked for an update on Lerma's hamstring.

"It’s something that’s not as serious as we first thought it might be. Hopefully he’ll only be out for seven to 10 days. Pleased with the results that have come back and hopefully have him back soon.

"It is a relief. Whenever anyone does their hamstring, I think you do expect the worst and fear the worst and that they’re going to be out for some time, anything from four to eight weeks.

"Thankfully for us it’s one that’s not that bad and Jeff being the character he is and how quickly he heals, we hope to have him back in seven to 10 days, fingers crossed."
