BOSS Steve Cuss hailed Cherries women’s performance as they reached the third qualifying round of the Women’s FA Cup.
Goals from Gemma Hillier and Molly Clark, as well as a penalty from Abby Jones saw the Dorset club seal a 3-1 victory against Southampton Women FC.
Success set up Cherries with a home clash with Buckland Athletic on Sunday, November 1.
Cuss told the club website: “I'm so pleased for the players, I thought they were magnificent.
“We started the game brightly, created a lot of chances and didn't really let the set back of them equalising stop our attacking play in that first half, so all credit to the players.”
Victory in the next stage would see Cherries reach the first round proper.
