CHERRIES legend Marc Pugh was once again on target for the club’s under-21s as they thumped Eastleigh 5-1 at Silverlake Stadium.

Pugh, still a free agent who has trained with Cherries since pre-season, was part of a strong visiting line-up which also included out-of-contract full-back Charlie Daniels – both playing the entire 90 minutes.

Jordan Zemura, Nnamdi Ofoborh, Gavin Kilkenny, Jaidon Anthony and Will Dennis were also part of the starting line-up for Shaun Cooper’s side.

And it was full-back Zemura who opened the scoring for the visitors after just six minutes. He hammered home after a well-placed cross from Dinesh Gillela.

Pugh then played his part in setting free Anthony on the counter just short of the hour mark, the forward making no mistake in doubling Cherries’ advantage.

Substitute Christian Saydee, who is also currently on loan at Poole Town, then made it 3-0 with a neat turn and finish before the hosts pulled a goal back two minutes later.

Pugh then got in on the act himself for Cherries when he smashed the ball into the net from close range with 65 minutes on the clock.

And Saydee ensured he bagged a brace on the afternoon, slotting in from close range to make it 5-1 to the visitors.
