JASON Tindall saw Cherries storm to the top of the Championship table before declaring: “We will continue to get better.”

Despite missing the likes of Joshua King, Arnaut Danjuma, Junior Stanislas, Lloyd Kelly and new recruit Rodrigo Riquelme, the Dorset club powered to a 3-1 victory over Coventry at St Andrew’s.

A dazzling brace from midfielder Dan Gosling along with a goal from Jefferson Lerma continued the Dorset club’s unbeaten league start.

Cherries head into the October international break with 10 points from a possible 12 to begin their campaign.

Speaking after the victory over the Sky Blues, Tindall said: “I’m delighted we won the game and we are top of the league at this early stage of the season.

“I felt the guys deserved it with the performance they put in.

“I felt we played well at times tonight. I do still think there is a lot more to come and we’ve got some real quality players that didn’t feature tonight for different reasons.

“But it just goes to show that I feel we’ve got better with each game that we’ve played. It’s pretty much a new team in a sense that it’s playing and learning about each other.

“As the season goes on, I think we will continue to get better.”
