JASON Tindall says Charlie Daniels came through his comeback appearance "with no problems".
The left-back, who is currently out of contract, played for the first time in more than a year at the weekend, starting for Cherries under-21s in a friendly at Yeovil Town.
And it proved to be an eye-catching return, with the 34-year-old scoring a stunning 45-yard free-kick from close to the centre circle, before being substituted at half-time.
Daniels has been training with Cherries as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury.
He last featured at senior level in August 2019, having dislocated the patella in his right knee against Manchester City.
No decision has yet been made on whether his stay at the club will continue into a 10th season.
"I spoke to Charlie and I’m pleased that he scored a goal, a great goal," Tindall told the Daily Echo.
"But most importantly for Chaz was that he came through the game with no problems and he’s managed to do that.
"So I'm delighted for him. With another good week’s training under his belt, I’m sure he’ll be in a better place."
