JASON Tindall revealed he hopes to complete his first signing as Cherries boss "in the next 24 to 48 hours."

Tindall is yet to add to his squad since replacing Eddie Howe as manager last month.

That is despite Cherries losing a host of players following relegation, including the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Callum Wilson and Nathan Ake.

No new arrivals has not hampered Tindall's side on the pitch, currently sitting unbeaten and fourth in the Championship, but the boss is keen to add to his squad.

Asked for an update on the club's transfer plans, Tindall told Sky Sports: "We're working really hard in the background behind the scenes to try and bring in two or three new faces to add to the group.

"Having lost 10 or 11 players from last year's Premier League squad, it does leave us a little bit thin on the ground, so I do think it is important we do add to the group.

"If we can bring in two or three quality signings, players that are going to make a difference, that's really important.

"We want to bring in players that are going to make a difference and add quality to the current group of players that we've already got."

He added: "Hopefully we'll get one over the line in the next 24 to 48 hours, one that we've been working on behind the scenes for some time now.

"If we can get that one over the line I do think it will be a really exciting signing for us and a player that I feel will add great quality to the current squad we've already got.

"Beyond that, if we can bring in another two or three players then great. If we can't, then so be it."
