CHERRIES have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid winger Rodrigo Riquelme, according to reports.
The Sun claim the Dorset club are looking to “hijack” the 20-year-old’s move to Reading, while Sky Sports also claim there is interest in Riquelme from Jason Tindall’s men.
Riquelme has been training with Reading during pre-season, with Royals manager Veljko Paunovic last week saying the Championship league leaders are “still working” on a deal for the Madrid-born youngster.
Winger Riquelme made two senior appearances for Atletico Madrid last season, coming off the bench against Eibar in La Liga, as well as Leonesa in the Copa Del Rey.
He played 21 times for Atletico’s B team in Segunda Division B last season.
