JASON Tindall insists Cherries are "working hard" to add to their squad before the transfer window closes.

The year sees two separate deadlines, with Monday, October 5 the closing date for international deals, with a domestic window staying open until Friday, October 16.

Tindall is yet to add to his squad since taking over from Eddie Howe as boss last month.

Asked if he was any closer to adding any new faces, Tindall said: "There’s nothing to report now. We’re working hard in the background, as we have been for a while.

"But it’s never easy, it’s always difficult. But I’ve always stated that any player that signs for this football club has to be a player that I feel will add to the group and make a difference to the squad.

"If we can manage to do that then great, I think it will strengthen us and give us that strength in depth that we’re going to need throughout the season.

"If we can’t, as you’ve seen again against Norwich, with a few key players out - Junior Stanislas, Lloyd Kelly, David Brooks - we can go out and deliver a winning performance against one of the best sides in the Championship, so I think that’s a really good sign also."
