BOSS Jason Tindall confirmed "there will be changes" to his Cherries side to face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup tomorrow, and hopes to have striker Joshua King available.

The 28-year-old has not featured for Cherries since the final day of last season, having picked up an injury whilst on international duty with Norway earlier this month.

But King is now back in training with Tindall set to make a late call on whether or not to take him to Etihad Stadium.

"I'm hoping to have him in the squad for tomorrow evening," Tindall told the Daily Echo.

"But it's one that we'll assess again today and see how he comes through training and then I'll make that decision off the back of training today."

One player Cherries will again be without is Junior Stanislas.

The winger played 85 minutes of the opening-day win over Blackburn Rovers, but has not featured since with Tindall confirming to the Echo at Riverside Stadium on Saturday that Stanislas had picked up "a little knock".

Asked for an update on the 30-year-old this morning, Tindall said: "June's not trained this week. But it is one that we're not expecting him to be out for too long.

"It's just one that we're assessing day-by-day, but he certainly won't be ready for tomorrow's game."

Tindall made nine changes from his side for last week's Carabao Cup second-round success against Crystal Palace, and admits further alterations could be necessary for the third round against Man City, ahead of a Championship clash with Norwich City on Sunday.

"It's difficult because when you're playing games every three days, you have to get that balance right with players that are fresh and are not carrying any sort of niggles and rotation with other players within your squad," said Tindall.

"As you saw against Palace, the team that was selected to go out there and play, they performed exceptionally well and delivered a great performance that got us through to the next round.

"There will be a few changes, but it's a matter of seeing how we come through today's training before any decisions are made."
