CHERRIES manager Jason Tindall described as “a little knock” the injury that kept out Junior Stanislas at Middlesbrough – and insisted he was not worried by the problem.

Winger Stanislas played 85 minutes of the Dorset club’s 3-2 victory over Blackburn on the opening day of the campaign.

He was left out of the midweek Carabao Cup contest against Crystal Palace and failed to make the squad for Saturday’s 1-1 draw on Teesside.

Youngster Jaidon Anthony was listed among the substitutes as an attacking option in Stanislas’s place.

Asked for an update on the former West Ham and Burnley star, Tindall told the Daily Echo: “Junior picked up a little knock. Nothing serious.

“It's one we'll assess next week and hopefully he won't be out for too long.

“It's nothing that's worrying me. It's just a little injury he's picked up and it's one that we'll assess. Hopefully he should be okay.”
