NEWCASTLE United boss Steve Bruce admits Matt Ritchie's head was "turned" by possible interest from Cherries.
Reports suggested Cherries were keen for former star Ritchie to return to Vitality Stadium, as part of a deal for Callum Wilson to head the other way.
Wilson completed his £20million move to the Magpies this week, but Ritchie is currently set to stay on Tyneside.

As reported on Chronicle Live, Bruce was asked what the latest is regarding Ritchie's future and said: "All along with it, I wanted him to stay.
"It's fair to say that Bournemouth turned his head and didn't come up with the deal that he wanted and, from my respect, he's staying.
"Whether that will change, we'll see."
Ritchie last night was filmed out for dinner in Newcastle by striker Andy Carroll, alongside his former Cherries team-mates Wilson and Ryan Fraser following their arrivals.
