SHEFFIELD United are "set to submit a second offer" for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, according to the Sheffield Star.

Cherries reportedly turned down a bid in excess of £12million for the stopper yesterday.

Despite relegation from the Premier League, Ramsdale impressed during his debut campaign in the top-flight, featuring 37 times and picking up the Micky Cave/Daily Echo supporters' player of the year award.

The Blades let Ramsdale leave to join Cherries for around £800,000 in 2017 and the stopper penned a new long-term contract at Vitality Stadium in October last year.

Sheffield United are said to be seeking a new goalkeeper in case loanee Dean Henderson returns to parent club Manchester United.

And the Star says the Blades will "bid again" for Ramsdale after Cherries knocked back their first offer.
