MANCHESTER City are closing in on the signing of Cherries defender Nathan Ake.

The Daily Echo understands City last week agreed a £41million transfer fee with the Dorset club for the 25-year-old Holland international.

It is understood the deal is now close to completion and set to be announced in the coming days.

It would be a record transfer fee received by the Dorset club.

Ake would become City’s second signing of the delayed summer transfer window after also landing Spain under-21s winger Ferran Torres from Valencia.
