BOSS Eddie Howe confirmed defender Adam Smith was sitting up and talking in the dressing room after a sickening collision left him stretchered off against Tottenham.
Former Spurs youngster Smith had to be replaced just past the hour mark after clattering into Ben Davies when going for a loose ball in the 0-0 draw at Vitality Stadium.
The Cherries full-back received lengthy treatment which included being given oxygen on the pitch before being taken off.
But giving an update on Smith post-match, Howe revealed the defender will hopefully be okay.
He said: “Adam is sitting up in the changing room and he is speaking and talking.
“He’s got a nasty little bump on his cheek but he looks like he’s going to be okay.”
Minutes after Smith’s departure, the Dorset club also lost David Brooks to a calf problem.
But the Cherries boss admitted the injury would have to be further assessed.
“David had a problem with his calf, we don’t know whether that was a pull or just tightness,” he added.
