WIMBORNE Town have confirmed Danny Holmes has resigned from his position as manager at the club.

The Cuthbury boss has departed less than a year into the role, having replaced brother Matty back in September.

He had guided Wimborne to 15th in the division with 37 points from 33 games, before the campaign was curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A post on Wimborne’s official Twitter feed read: “The board of directors have confirmed that Danny Holmes has resigned as the manager .

“We would like to thank Danny for his services at the club and wish him all the best in the future. Further updates to follow soon.”

On the playing side, it is understood the likes of Tony Lee, Sam Bayston, Connor Doe and Sam Poole are all not set to remain with Magpies next season.
