FORMER Pirates stars Chris Holder, Darcy Ward and Davey Watt will be reunited this week to relive one of the club’s Elite League triumphs.
The Wimborne Road outfit are streaming their 2011 Grand Final win over Eastbourne on Wednesday (7.30pm) and the Australian trio, with more than 630 appearances between them, will then link up for a special post-streaming reaction session.
Promoter Matt Ford said: “I think the idea of getting Darcy, Davey and Chris together is brilliant and full credit to my lad Dan (Ford, co-promoter) for coming up with the idea of having a follow-up to our meeting streams.
“It is just one of a number of superb new initiatives that he has brought to the club since taking up a more hands-on role.
“I for one am excited about seeing three of our most popular Aussies back together again.
“It is quite appropriate too, in 2011 they contributed more than 500 race points between them and had a host of bonus points.
“I am sure that they will have a lot to say about that Grand Final meeting in particular.”
All the action from the Wimborne Road-staged second leg will be streamed on the club's Facebook and YouTube channels.
