CHERRIES defender Nathan Ake issued some advice for the club’s fans amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Dutchman is part of Eddie Howe’s first-team squad now not expected back in training until April 6, with English football at present suspended until April 30.

And while the nation is urged to stay at home amid the virus outbreak, Ake offered his advice to fans via the club’s official Twitter feed.

He said: “Keep your distance! Keeping your distance will help protect those most vulnerable and also protect yourself.

“If you're working from home, keep working hard and maintain high standards to get you through. If you have to conduct business, make sure you do it alone.

“Hygiene is key. Keep yourself clean and fresh even if you're at home

“Try and be active in the household if you can, some exercise can help no matter how small.

“Use technology to look out for and interact with your friends and loved ones.”

Netherlands international Ake has now featured 115 times for Cherries in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and registering five assists.

He has played 23 times in the top flight this season, with Howe’s men currently 18th in the league table.
