CHERRIES have pushed back their pending return to training until Monday, April 6, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Eddie Howe’s men had been set to be back in training tomorrow before the announcement that English football would now be shutting down until at least April 30.

The further postponement of the campaign means Cherries’ players are set to remain at home for the next two weeks.

The date of return could be subject to change once again, depending on further information given regarding COVID-19.

Minimal field sessions for players throughout the next two weeks could be an option for Howe’s side – but players have to give notice to a fitness coach of who is attending and numbers will likely be one-to-one.

The Dorset club’s most recent first-team game came in a 2-1 defeat at Liverpool on Saturday, March 7.
