THE Southern League have suspended all fixtures until April 3.

Games last weekend and this weekend have already been called off, but now the decision has been taken to push that date back an extra two weeks due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

A statement from the league read: "Following the statement issued by the league on Friday, March 13, it was indicated that a further statement would be forthcoming on Friday, March 20.

"It has been agreed that the league is officially suspended until April 3, 2020. However, it should be noted that an Alliance committee meeting by conference call will be taking place during the evening of Monday, March 23 regarding the aforementioned and the season going forward.

"A further statement will therefore be issued on Tuesday, March 24.

"The league is aware of the issues faced by clubs and is engaging with the FA on these matters. It is anticipated that the league will be able to provide further information and guidance during next week."

Poole Town currently sit ninth in Southern Premier with Wimborne Town in 15th.

Dolphins still have 15 games to be completed, while the Magpies are nine games from completion.
