CUP specialists Abbey have a third final to look forward to after they got the better of Loch & Quay 3-1 in their MA Hart Robbins Cup semi-final.

Already through to the Mark Hart Sunday Senior Cup final and the Dorset Sunday Challenge Cup final, Abbey wasted no time getting off the mark with Callum Perry scoring direct from a corner.

Sam Lanahan added two more before the interval while River Smith pulled one back for Loch & Quay after the break.

Abbey’s opponents in the final will be East Christchurch SSC who shaded it 1-0 against West Howe, despite playing with 10 men for just more than an hour.

Darren Orchard saw red for a mistimed challenge on the half hour mark but East Christchurch scored the only goal of the game through Alex Whitehouse just before the interval.

Both Hayward League sides in the Dorset Sunday Plate competition semi-finals fell by the wayside.

Mark Ford’s brace was not enough to save AFC Wimborne from a 4-2 defeat against Gillingham Town Barbarians while Poole Borough reserves were beaten 3-0 by The Greyhound.
