THREE British champions have joined the star-studded line-up for Neil Middleditch's Poole Pirates testimonial.

Chris "Bomber" Harris, Scott Nicholls and Pirates' 2020 captain Danny King are all set to ride at Wimborne Road in the meeting on Wednesday, March 25 (7.30pm).

All three are again signed up for English season which starts in April with King leading out Pirates, Harris riding for Peterborough Panthers and Nicholls at Kent Kings.

Taking to Twitter after it was announced he would be part of the line-up, former Poole man Nicholls said: "He (Middleditch) is a fantastic team manager but an even better friend.

"Had some awesome times racing under him as manager at Poole and Team GB. Hope to see lots of you there."

The British trio bring the total number of riders for the evening so far to nine.

Chris and Jack Holder are already confirmed, as well as Bjarne Pedersen, Adam Ellis and two more of Pirates' class of 2019 in Nicolai Klindt and Brady Kurtz.

Pirates are looking to honour Middleditch’s work since being appointed team boss by owner Matt Ford in 1999. He has guided the club to eight top-flight titles.
