EDDIE Howe stood by his stance of not commenting on transfer speculation, stating: "That’s just the way I think it should be done."
The Cherries boss regularly opts against discussing various players linked with the club throughout the season, something which is heightened during the transfer window.
And he says that decision is out of "respect".
Howe told the Daily Echo: "That's just the way I think it should be done.
"I wouldn’t like someone else commenting on my players in the press and communicating about players that are under contract here.
"I don’t think it’s right, so naturally I would never do the same the other way.
"I just think it’s a respect thing. So until a player signs, and when a player signs I’ll talk all day if you want me to about why we’ve signed them and about the respective players, but until that’s done there’s no point saying anything."
Cherries have until 11pm tomorrow to conclude business until the window reopens in the summer.
Howe is yet to add to his squad this month, despite the club sitting in the Premier League relegation zone.
