POOLE Pirates will begin their SGB Championship campaign by welcoming Somerset Rebels to Wimborne Road.

The 2020 fixture list was released this morning, with the first meeting of the season due to take place on Wednesday, April 1.

A weekend trip to Eastbourne follows before the reverse clash six days later, ahead of back-to-back meetings with Birmingham.

The regular season is due to finish with a trip to Somerset on September 2, with the play-off dates set for later that month.

Neil Middleditch and Gary Havelock are set to share managerial duties for Pirates' first season back in the second tier since 1990.

The club have announced five of their seven riders for the upcoming campaign in Steve Worrall, Danny King, Stefan Nielsen, Adam Ellis and Josh MacDonald.
