CHERRIES have "expressed an interest" in former Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore, according to a report in MailOnline.

Traore, who joined the Blues academy as a teenager and featured 16 times for the first team, left Stamford Bridge to join Lyon in 2017 for a reported fee of £8.8million.

The Mail claims the Burkina Faso international is now "being regarded in the £35million bracket", with Cherries said to be negotiating a loan deal, with an obligation to buy the 24-year-old should the club avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Traore has scored 32 goals in 108 games for Lyon.

He has also enjoyed fruitful loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem and Ajax in Holland.
