BOSS Eddie Howe admitted he was “delighted” to see Junior Stanislas make his return from an injury-ravaged spell on the sidelines.

The talented winger made his first league start since April during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Brighton, after recovering from hamstring and knee issues.

The 30-year-old lasted 62 minutes of his comeback before being replaced by Callum Wilson at the Amex.

With his side still littered with injury issues, manager Howe was pleased to see Stanislas complete his return.

He told the Daily Echo: “I thought he did really well. I was very pleased.

“Technically you could see his quality.

“I think he gave us good composure. I was very happy with him.”

Stanislas could once again be involved when Cherries visit West Ham on New Year’s Day (5.30pm).

“He is a quality player, he’s got very good technical ability,” said Howe.

“He sees a pass, he is that creative link we’ve maybe been missing. I am delighted to have him back.”
