DETERMINED Lewis Cook urged Cherries to show their fight and put an end to their poor form in the Premier League.

The England international is expected to be part of Eddie Howe’s squad to visit Chelsea on Saturday (3pm), looking to curtail a losing run of five games.

Cook has featured in all of Cherries’ past five defeats, including coming off the bench for the final 32 minutes against Liverpool last time out.

But the 22-year-old is eager arrest that form quickly and believes it is key for Cherries to “stick to our principles”.

He told the Daily Echo: “We are a team, we stick together and we are going to try to give it our all.

“We have been in these situations before. We just have to get together, show fight for us, for the club and for the fans as well. That’s what we will do.

“We have a lot of fight in the group, I think we have shown that in previous seasons. We definitely have the fight there, we just need to implement it on the games and really go for it.”

Chelsea go into the contest having overcome Lille 2-1 in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Frank Lampard’s men found the net through Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta.

“They are a top team, just like anyone in the Premier League it is going to be a tough game,” added former Leeds man Cook.

“But if we stick to our principles and show some fight and effort we can go there and get a positive result.

“We go into the game with a game plan of how we think we are going to win the game. We have to stick to that and just go for it.

“It will be a good battle but, if we play to our strengths we are good enough.”
