LEWIS Gunstone-Gray was the penalty hero as Christchurch progressed into the Wessex League Cup quarter-finals.

After Luke Stone's brace was cancelled out by two goals from Zac Willis, Premier outfit Priory were taken to penalties by Division One high-flyers Hythe & Dibden with the game ending 2-2 at Hurn Bridge.

There goalkeeper Gunstone-Gray came to the fore, making the saves to send Ollie Cherrett's men through 4-3 on spot-kicks.

Joining them in the last eight are Poppies, who edged past Lymington Town.

Goals from Fabio Manuel and debutant Dan Brennan were enough to secure a 2-1 success at Victoria Park.

Brockenhurst will have their chance to book a quarter-final spot when they go to Baffins Milton Rovers tonight (7.45pm).
