SWANSEA boss Steve Cooper revealed striker Sam Surridge will be fit to feature for his loan club against Millwall on Saturday.

The Cherries frontman was forced to withdraw from the England under-21 squad during the international break with a knee problem.

But having trained with the Welsh outfit this week, Cooper confirmed Surridge would be available for the Championship high-flyers.

“Sam is fine. He trained a couple of days ago, he has had an ongoing knee problem for a while and it flares up from time to time,” said Cooper.

“We thought it might have been a little bit worse this time, hence the scan, but it was an ongoing thing, so we were relieved it was nothing more serious.

“So, he is fine.”

Former Parley First School pupil Surridge has scored five goals in 15 appearances for Swansea this season.
