CHERRIES striker Callum Wilson has kept his place in the England squad for this month’s Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The former Coventry star will be part of Gareth Southgate’s squad to host Montenegro at Wembley on Thursday, November 14 before making the trip to Kosovo on Sunday, November 17.

England need just one point to progress to next summer’s finals, with the Montenegro contest being the Three Lions’ 1,000th international fixture.

"It's an opportunity for us to qualify for a European Championship which is a very important moment for us," Southgate added.

"And it's the 1,000th England game - a momentous occasion for everybody and pretty special to be involved with. As a manager you get a real feel for the history and privilege of leading the team.

"The squad itself is a little bit larger than normal, we've got a few injury doubts, so we've named a slightly extended squad."

John Stones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been handed recalls.

Everton defender Michael Keane has been dropped and there is still no place for Dele Alli but Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi is back in.

Mason Mount is also included despite coming off in Chelsea’s 4-4 Champions League draw against Ajax with an ankle problem on Tuesday.
