NEWCASTLE United midfielder Isaac Hayden believes his side will be going into Saturday’s battle against Cherries with added confidence.
The former England under-21 international returned to the Magpies’ starting XI for their 3-2 success at West Ham United last time out, their third win in 11 league games this season.
Steve Bruce’s charges will face Cherries at St James' Park (3pm) looking for back-to-back victories for the first time this campaign.
Hayden featured when Newcastle overcame Eddie Howe’s men 2-1 at St James’ Park under Rafa Benitez last campaign, before a 2-2 draw between the sides at Vitality Stadium.
Speaking to the Newcastle website, the former Arsenal midfielder said: "Bournemouth will be on a high, just like we will be.
"I think it's an important game in the context of our season because if we win that game, the doom and gloom surrounding us lifts especially before the international break.
"The squad we've got and the confidence we're building up, I don't think there's any reason why we shouldn't be going into it looking to get three points."
He added: "It's important we don't rest on our laurels and we have to back up that victory (over West Ham) at the weekend with other good performances in the coming weeks."
