CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe expressed his respect for England rugby head coach Eddie Jones ahead of tomorrow’s World Cup final.
Howe will be preparing his side for the Premier League’s lunchtime kick-off against Manchester United at Vitality Stadium (12.30pm) while England look to overcome South Africa in Japan (9am).
And while football-focused Howe he admitted he was “not a massive rugby follower” the Cherries manager was interested by how Jones had developed his side for the showcase tournament.
He said: “I hope England win. I’ve got to say I’m not a massive rugby follower but I have watched a little bit of the World Cup.
“I watched the beginning part of the England New Zealand game last week and was enthralled by that.
“From a coach’s perspective – huge respect to Eddie Jones and his team and what he has done with English rugby.
“I hope they can finish the job.”
Jones has challenged his England players to inspire the nation by toppling the Springboks in front of a sold out 69,000 International Stadium in Yokohama.
Cherries have allowed supporters into Vitality Stadium from 8.45am to watch the showcase finale.
