CHELSEA scout Piet de Visser believes Cherries defender Nathan Ake would be a "perfect" signing for the club.

Ake, who enjoyed a successful youth career at Chelsea, left the Blues to join Cherries for a fee of £20million in 2017 having played 17 games for the first team.

But de Visser believes the 24-year-old, who has become a key cog in Eddie Howe's side, would fit in perfectly back at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard.

In quotes translated from an interview with Dutch outlet De Volkskrant de Visser said: "Ake should have played for Chelsea by now. He's so good.

"How often does he not score with his head? He has timing and insight.

"I hope they buy him back. That boy is perfect for them and he has played with Lampard."
