AFC BURTON and Bournemouth Electric reserves MA Hart Hayward Cup first-round clash proved absolutely pointless - as the sides locked horns at Strouden Playing Fields on Saturday.

Ryan Bailey, Declan Rose and Mitch Cannings had AFC Burton all square at 3-3 after 90 minutes against Electric and Burton came out on top 5-4 on penalties.

The game will have to be replayed however, as the sides should have played extra time before going to spot-kicks.

Elsewhere in the competition, Ben Lebow gave FC Barolo an early lead against Fordingbridge Turks.

But the tide turned in the closing stages of the first half when Turks came back courtesy of a Tom Goddard brace and an own goal. Marc Bryant added another to give Fordingbridge a 4-1 victory.

Callum Zikmund and Joshua Haynes netted for Winkton Athletic in their second-round tie but Bisterne United edged them out 3-2 thanks to Charlie King and a couple of goals from Luke Gogan.

Terry Foote and Jamie Morgan nabbed two each when Bournemouth Manor hammered Milford 7-0 in the first round of the MA Hart Page Croft Cup with Ryan Johnson, Ed Ewens and Matt Head also scoring.

Westover Bournemouth look to have unearthed a gem in goalkeeping prospect Ben Rodwell.

The 16-year-old stopper made an impressive debut in their Hayward Saturday Premier Division clash with Bournemouth Electric.

Both sides held perfect records going into the game and it finished honours even in a 1-1 draw.

Tom Flynn put Westover in front after 16 minutes but their lead only lasted five minutes before Luke McCoy levelled for the Sparkies.

Josh Matthews scored both goals to give Ringwood Town development the edge 2-1 against Queens Park Athletic.

His first goal came after 15 minutes when Max Fletcher’s effort came back off the post and Matthews was perfectly placed to slot home the rebound.

Martin Smith put Queen’s Park on level terms midway through the first half with a superb volley but Matthews struck again in the 75th minute to give Ringwood the verdict.

Yusuf Akanni scored all three goals when Verwood All Stars Development got the better of Ringwood United 3-1 to take over on top of Division One.
