NORWICH City are expected to have a much stronger squad for their trip to Vitality Stadium tomorrow (3pm) after manager Daniel Farke confirmed the availability of many first team players.

Before the international break the Canaries were thumped 5-1 by Aston Villa, with third-choice ‘keeper Michael McGovern in between the sticks.

However, the Northern Ireland international will be dropped, as Farke told reporters: “The injury situation is much better. Tim Krul will play tomorrow. (Ralf) Fahrmann isn't too far away.”

Farke then revealed that Norwich’s lengthy injury list had shortened, with starlet Todd Cantwell and wide threat Onel Hernandez available to the German for selection.

“It's not as bad as it was in the last few weeks, especially against Aston Villa," said Farke.

“Kenny McLean and Todd Cantwell are available. Max Aarons returned without any problems. Sam Byram's ankle problems are sorted so he's available. Alex Tettey is back and available, so is Tom Trybull.

“Godfrey's problems are sorted and he's back in training so available for tomorrow. It's good that it's done because it's out of his head now.

Hernandez, a goalscorer the last time the two sides met, is likely to be involved in some capacity but won’t start.

Farke said: “Also available is Onel Hernandez. Onel Hernandez was our best winger in terms of goals and assists last season, so he's been a big miss for us.

“Onel won't start. He has been training for one week and has looked really sharp. He will be in the squad, but it's too early for 90 minutes.”
