BOSS Matt Ford thanked Pirates’ fans for their opinions on the club’s league future and insisted: “There will be racing, at one level or another, at Wimborne Road in 2020.”
Ford this week revealed Poole were considering their options regarding staying in the SGB Premiership next season, despite finishing top of this year’s league standings.
He asked fans to air their views, with a switch to the SGB Championship – British Speedway’s second tier - understood to be an option.
The Pirates chief told the club website: “Although we find ourselves at the crossroads at the present time and the club remains for sale, it is our intention to continue with our tenureship until such time as the right offer comes in and so there will be racing, at one level or another, at Wimborne Road in 2020.
“As I have already mentioned, Dan (Ford, co-promoter) will be taking much more of a hands-on approach with the club and its day-to-day running.
“I know that he will be considering many of the suggestions that came out during the survey."
