DANNY Holmes says he is considering letting his Wimborne Town players have the weekend off – if they perform well against Truro City tomorrow.

The Magpies have no scheduled fixture on Saturday having lost to Truro in the FA Cup earlier this month.

They face the same opponents again in Southern League South action at Cuthbury tomorrow evening (7.45pm) and boss Holmes admits he is unsure yet on what to fill his time with on Saturday.

He told Radio Wimborne: "I've already said to the players, if they do well against Truro, they might get the weekend off. That's the way I am.

"It's for them to go out and do well. We might be training (on Saturday), we might not."

Having completed a 4-0 win at Beaconsfield Town at the weekend, Wimborne moved up to 15th in the table.

And Holmes admits he has been left with some selection decisions.

"It's trying to keep the group happy," he said.

"That will be hard, but it's a nice challenge. Over the years we haven't been spoiled for choice and you can have five subs, but we've only had two or three sometimes.

"I thrive on it really. I say bring it on because it's nothing I've been used to.

"It will be interesting and good for the club and everyone to have that competitive edge."
