DORSET’S Solheim sensation Georgia Hall made it a flawless four victories at the showcase team event, as she helped spearhead Europe to glory in the Sunday singles.

The Wimborne professional came from two down after eight holes to overcome world number three Lexi Thompson 2&1 at Gleneagles.

Hall was out in game number three at the Scottish venue, winning three holes in a row from the ninth to grab the initiative before taking the 15th with a par on her way to victory.

With the former Canford Kid waiting with her team-mates by the final green, wildcard pick Suzann Pettersen holed the winning putt later in the day against Marina Alex to give Europe victory 14½ 13½.

Hall told Sky Sports: “It was absolutely awesome, you couldn’t write it any better with Suzanne to hole the winning putt. It was incredible, I’m so happy.”

She added: “I don’t want to let anyone down and there are 12 players in this team. I just wanted to do my part and my golf was great this week, so I’m very happy.

“The pairings were great together and Beany (Catriona Matthew, captain) rested us when we needed to be rested. For her to win in Scotland is just incredible.”
