LUKE Holmes has joined Poole Town.
The former Wimborne Town ace left the Magpies last month to link up with Southern League South rivals Salisbury.
But he departed in a matter of weeks with Whites boss Steve Claridge claiming Holmes "doesn't feel mentally strong enough for this sort of challenge".
And Poole have moved swiftly to make the 22-year-old their latest addition, with him offically becoming a Dolphins player from Friday "subject to the usual formalities".
Discussing the arrival of his new midfielder, Dolphins boss Tom Killick told the club website: "A few things have been said about Luke by Salisbury after his release and we don't believe they are fully true.
"We can't wait to see what Luke can add to our side.
"I think he's a terrific signing for us and adds real strength in a vital area. Once all the formalities are confirmed, we're raring for him to get going."
Wimborne boss Danny Holmes revealed on Tuesday night that nephew Luke was set to join Killick's charges.
Holmes could go straight into the table-topping Dolphins side to face Harrow Borough on Saturday at Black Gold Stadium (3pm).
