LEE Francis bagged a brace as early Wessex Premier leaders Hamworthy United cruised past Hamble Club.

The game was locked at 1-1 at half-time in Hampshire after Francis had broken the deadlock.

But goals after the restart from Brandon Randall and Matt Steer, as well as a second from Francis, sealed the 4-1 victory as the Hammers made it four wins from four in all competitions.

Lymington also secured a big 4-1 success, winning at Shaftesbury with goals from Mike Gosney, Aziz Aldhayan, Micky Finch and Dom Falco.

Brockenhurst’s trip to Baffins Milton Rovers was postponed due to issues over the main power supply at Kendall’s Stadium.

In Wessex One, Ringwood Town suffered their first defeat of the season, beaten 5-3 at home by Newport.

Ryan Hamm, Ben Harris and substitute Flynn Wearden all scored for the Long Lane side, but their strikes came in vain.

New Milton Town played out a 0-0 draw at Pewsey Vale with goalkeeper Luke Dennison impressing.
