MATTY Holmes says his Wimborne side "have to get something" from their trip to Blackfield & Langley tomorrow evening (7.45pm) as they bid to improve their away form.

The Magpies picked up just 14 points on the road last season, the second-lowest tally in Southern League South.

Having drawn their opening day fixture 0-0 against Hartley Wintney at Cuthbury, Wimborne head to Gang Warily tomorrow to take on the newly-promoted Watersiders, and Holmes knows his charges must pick up more points on their travels this campaign.

The Magpies boss told Radio Wimborne: "It will be a tough game, it really will be away from home.

"That's where we've got to improve if we're going to better our position and survive again this year, we know that.

"Going there we have to get something.

"It's the start of the season and it's something we're looking forward to, but they will be tough.

"If anyone thinks it's a three-pointer, they're much mistaken."
