Dan Cann and Cameron Beard both fired hat-tricks for Alan Lay’s men, who also struck through Harrison White.

Elsewhere in the division, Brockenhurst got their campaign underway with a 4-0 home win over Tadley Calleva. Matt Casey, Freddie Bullard, Tom Hill and Dylan Manufor were all on target.

Mickey Finch notched a brace in Lymington’s 2-1 win at Horndean, while Jake Harvey scored in Poppies’ 1-1 draw at Fareham.

Max Wilcock’s leveler ensured Christchurch took a point in a 1-1 draw at Hamble Club. Bashley played out a 0-0 draw with Fleet Town.

In Wessex One, Tom Hughes, Ryan Hamm and Jack Barton found the net in Ringwood’s 4-1 success against East Cowes Victoria.

Ollie Davies and Lee Vint got Verwood off a flyer with a 2-1 win at Newport.

Eamonn Duffy’s goal proved consolation for New Milton , who were hammered 8-1 at Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

Poppies tomorrow make the trip to Hamworthy United, while Christchurch travel to Bashley.

Brockenhurst host Solent University and Lymington visit AFC Stoneham.
