CHERRIES have completed the signing of midfielder Philip Billing from Huddersfield Town.

The Dorset club have swooped to capture the Denmark under-21 international for an undisclosed fee. The Daily Echo understands the deal to be worth up to £15million.

Billing joined the Terriers on a youth contract from Danish side Esbjerg in 2013 and went on to make 91 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit.

He was part of the Huddersfield side who won promotion from the Championship in 2017 and featured 43 times in the top flight.

Billing has agreed a long-term contract with Eddie Howe’s men and becomes Cherries third summer signing – following in the footsteps of Lloyd Kelly and Jack Stacey.

The signing of midfield star Billing has taken Cherries’ summer spending to an estimated £32million.

They have received around £37.5million for the sales of Tyrone Mings, Lys Mousset and Connor Mahoney.
